# Booking Software for Football Coaches

Football booking software is overwhelmingly built for two jobs, and neither of them is yours. One is running a junior club: registers, parent accounts, term fees, squad lists. The other is letting somebody hire a 3G pitch for an hour. Both are real problems. Neither describes a coach taking individual adult clients.

Adult one to one football coaching is genuinely underserved. The players exist, and mostly cannot find anyone, because the coaches who would take them are invisible behind club and facility software.

GoalMate books your time, for adults, one to one or in a small group. Free to join, no subscription, and no commission on anything you earn.

## Why adult football coaching falls between the tools

- **The software assumes a club.** Registers, squads, parent accounts and term billing are the wrong shape entirely for an adult paying for their own session.
- **Or it assumes a pitch.** Facility systems book the surface for an hour. They have no concept of who is coaching, what is being worked on, or whether the same player comes back.
- **Adults are embarrassed to ask.** The most common reason an adult never books is not knowing whether a coach will take them at all, because everything visible is aimed at juniors. Being obviously bookable solves most of it.
- **Cash on the pitch.** Adult sessions are still routinely settled in cash or by transfer afterwards, which means chasing, and no cover when somebody does not turn up.

## Built for coaching adults, not administering a club

- **One to one and small group.** Take individual sessions, or open a slot to three or four players with each place booked and paid for separately.
- **Session types that match the work.** Finishing, first touch, position specific work, fitness and return to play can each be a separate service with its own length and price.
- **Payment before the session.** Cards are charged at booking through Stripe, so a no show on a pitch you have already paid for is not your loss.
- **Your own venue, or theirs.** Attach a different location to each service, so a 3G booking and a park session are not confused with each other.
- **A profile adults can find.** A public page that ranks for football coaching in your area and makes it obvious you take adult clients, which is the thing they are actually looking for.
- **Blocks as well as one offs.** Sell a run of six sessions as a single purchase, laid into the diary weekly, for players working on something over time.

## What else is out there, and who it is for

Football has no shortage of software. Almost none of it imagines an adult paying for their own session, which is the whole of your business.

- **ClassForKids.** Junior club management. Registers, parent accounts, term billing, waiting lists. Every screen assumes a child, a parent holding the card, and a term. A thirty year old booking Tuesday evening has nowhere to stand.
- **Pitchbooking, Bookteq.** Pitch booking for clubs, councils and 3G operators. It rents out grass. Who is standing on it, and whether they come back, is not a question it asks.
- **Baluu, CoachIQ, Coacha.** Club and coaching platforms, some with one to one added later. One to one arrived after the fact and reads like it. The pricing still assumes a committee is paying.

## Questions

**Is this for kids football or adults?**

Adults, and that is the point. Junior club software is a solved problem and GoalMate is not trying to solve it again. If you coach adults one to one or in small groups, nothing else is really built for you.

**Does GoalMate book the pitch as well?**

No. GoalMate books your time and takes the payment. You keep whatever arrangement you already have for the pitch, and the venue is shown on the booking so the player knows where to go.

**Can I run a small group rather than one to one?**

Yes. Set the number of places and each player books and pays for their own, which is far simpler than collecting from four people separately.

**What does it cost?**

Nothing to join, no subscription and no commission. The client pays a service fee at checkout: a flat £1 on sessions up to £25, and 4% above that. On a £50 session the client pays £52.99 and you receive £50.
