# Booking Software for Personal Trainers

Personal training has more software aimed at it than any other coaching discipline, and most of it solves the wrong half of the problem. Programme builders and habit trackers are good at what happens during a block of training. Very few are any good at the part that decides whether you have a business: getting booked, getting paid, and not losing an evening a week to admin.

GoalMate is the second half. Bookings against your real availability, card payment taken up front, automatic payouts, and a profile that puts you in front of people already searching for a trainer near them.

Free to join, no subscription, and no commission on any booking.

## Where a personal training business actually leaks

- **Late cancellations and no shows.** The single biggest unpaid cost in personal training. Taking payment at the point of booking rather than at the session removes the conversation entirely.
- **Clients booked across four places.** Some in a diary, some in WhatsApp, some in an app, some in your head. It works until it does not, and it never scales.
- **Blocks sold by conversation.** Most PTs sell blocks of ten or twelve and track them on paper, then lose count of who has how many left.
- **Being found at all.** A booking link only helps people who already know your name. It does nothing for someone searching for a trainer in your town tonight.

## What you get

- **Blocks with sessions tracked.** Sell a block of ten as one purchase and let the platform keep count, rather than a note on your phone.
- **Payment before the session.** Cards charged at the point of booking through Stripe, paid out automatically to your bank.
- **Availability you actually control.** Set the hours you want to work, per venue, including split days for anyone doing mornings in one gym and evenings in another.
- **One to one, group and packages.** All three booking types with no commission on any of them, so small group work is not penalised.
- **Client messaging.** Talk to clients about sessions without handing out your personal number.
- **A profile that ranks locally.** Your qualifications, specialisms and rates on a page built to be found for personal training in your area.

## How this compares to the usual PT stack

Most trainers end up paying for two or three of these at once. Worth noticing, because each one covers a different part of the month.

- **My PT Hub, Trainerize, PT Distinction.** Programme delivery. Workouts, nutrition, progress, habit tracking. All of it starts once somebody is already your client. The fee arrives every month whether anybody books or not.
- **Acuity, Calendly, Setmore.** General appointment scheduling that a PT session fits into. You get a link to send out. Blocks of ten are something you improvise, and nobody new arrives through it.
- **Gym management platforms.** Memberships, class timetables and door access for a building. The gym is the customer. You are a record inside it, and the client belongs to them.

## What it costs

Free to join, no subscription and no commission. The client pays a service fee at
checkout: a flat £1 on sessions up to £25, and 4% above that. On a £50 session the
client pays £52.99 and you receive £50.

## Questions

**Do I have to move my existing clients across?**

No. You can bring existing clients on so their booking and payment runs through GoalMate, or keep them entirely separate and use it only for new ones. It is your choice per client.

**Does this replace my programming app?**

No, and it is not trying to. If you write programmes in My PT Hub or Trainerize, keep doing that. GoalMate handles being found, booked and paid, which those tools are not built for.

**How are blocks of sessions handled?**

A block is one purchase with the sessions laid into the diary, and the remaining count is tracked for you rather than on paper.

**What does it cost?**

Nothing to join, no subscription and no commission on any booking type. The client pays a service fee at checkout: a flat £1 on sessions up to £25, and 4% above that. On a £50 session the client pays £52.99 and you receive £50.
